Privacy policy
Fest'Pack (festivalpacktravel.ca) is a site of Archipel AI, a business located in Lévis, Quebec, Canada. For each event, it brings together the ticket, the trip and the nearby hotels, and sends you to partner sites where you book.
Fest'Pack sells nothing and asks you for nothing. There is no account, no form, no newsletter, no payment. This policy is therefore short: mostly, it explains what others see when you pass through.
Quebec's Law 25 governs this site. Where the French version of this policy and this translation differ, the French version prevails.

What the site keeps on your device
When you tick the steps of your travel plan, that progress is saved in your browser, on your device. It is never sent to us and we cannot read it. The same goes for the travel style you pick (budget or comfort) and for your departure city, if you choose to have it detected.
You can erase all of it by clearing the site's data in your browser settings. The site may also store itself for offline use: those are pages, not information about you.
Fest'Pack sets no advertising cookies.
Detecting your departure city
To pre-fill a flight search, we need to know where you are leaving from. The site offers a button that detects it from your IP address: this detection runs only if you click. It is off by default, as Quebec law requires for any location feature.
If you click, your IP address is sent to the ipwho.is service, which returns a city name. We keep neither the IP address nor the city on our servers: the city stays in your browser for the duration of your visit, to pre-fill flight links.
You are never required to click. Without detection the links still work — you type your departure city on the partner's site.
What others see
Our host, Vercel (United States), receives your IP address and the list of pages requested, as any web host does. Those logs keep the site running and help detect outages.
Our audience measurement runs on our own server in Québec: it counts page views and the site you came from (its name only, for example google.com). No cookies, and your IP address is never recorded: a visitor is recognized for one day only, through a fingerprint deleted the next day. Browsers that ask not to be tracked (Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track) are not counted.
Google Fonts (United States) supplies the site's typeface, so your browser contacts Google on every page, which gives Google your IP address.
Expedia (United States) supplies the banner shown at the top of event pages. Its content comes from their servers, which see your IP address and the page you are on, and may set their own cookies there.
Booking partners — Expedia, Booking.com, StubHub, Fnac Spectacles through Awin, and official ticket sellers — receive, at the moment you click, the destination and dates contained in the link, plus your departure city if you had it detected. From that click on, you are on their site and their privacy policy applies. They generally set a cookie recording that you came from us: that is what earns us a commission if you book.
The ads shown at the top of pages are images we host ourselves. Displaying them contacts no one else. If you click, you leave for the advertiser's site.
How we make money
Through affiliate commissions. If you book after clicking one of our links, the partner pays us a percentage. You pay exactly the same price. The partner sends us no information about you: not your name, not your booking, not the amount.
What we do not do
We collect no name, no email address, no phone number, and no payment information. We do not track you from site to site. We resell nothing, because we hold nothing.
If you write to us
Our contact address is a Gmail account (Google, United States). The email you send us is kept there for as long as it takes to handle your request, then deleted.
Your rights
You may write to archipel.clients@outlook.com to find out whether we hold any information about you, to obtain a copy, a correction or its deletion, and to complain to Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information if our answer does not satisfy you. We answer within thirty days at the latest.
In practice, since the site collects nothing, the answer to an access request will most often be: we hold nothing about you.
Changes
If we change this policy, the date at the top of the page changes. Significant changes are announced on the home page.
